Research Paper at the African Journal of Plant Science

This is an interesting research paper published in the African Journal of Plant Science with the title of "Effect of poultry manure treated and untreated with effective microorganisms on growth performance and insect pest infestation on Amaranthus hybridus".
The paper was prepared by the members of the Department of Crop and Soil Science, College of Agricultural Sciences, Landmark University, OmuAran, Kwara State, Nigeria and the Department of Plant Science, Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Nigeria.
They tested how to increase vegetables productivity by applying EM Technology while reducing pests that affect yield and quality.
They made a comparison within poultry manure treated and untreted with EM Technology and the results were significantly possitive for the EM treated organic matter.
The study showed good growth performance, yield and good effect on insect pest infestation on Amaranthus hybridus.
