Hija river runs through Kadena and Yomitan, the middle part of Okinawa main island. It is said that the river used to be so clean that people could swim in it.

On April 29, 2021, 80 people including local students participated in an event to throw EM Mudballs into Hija river. They threw total 800 EM Mudball that they made in advance.

A student who participated in this event commented, “Very good activity. I hope we can continue it.”

They would like to hold more events like this and increase the environmental awareness of local people.
