We have updated the case study “The Genki Ala Wai Project II”, which documents the ongoing restoration of Honolulu’s Ala Wai Canal using EM Technology.

The latest update includes application data, verified results on sludge reduction and water quality improvement, and additional observations of marine life returning to the canal.
It also highlights the project’s growing social impact through international collaboration, including the World EM Mudball Day Festival.

Led by the local community with technical support from EM Hawaii, the project demonstrates how long-term, community-driven EM applications can contribute to sustainable urban water restoration.
